Akrion Completes Sale of Verteq Component Line

ALLENTOWN, Pa., June 10 /PRNewswire/ -- Akrion, Inc. ("Akrion"), a supplier of advanced surface preparation equipment, announced today that it has sold the Spin Rinser Dryer and Batch Megasonic product lines of the former Verteq, Inc. of Santa Ana, California.

The aforementioned wet station component product lines have been sold to Marteq Process Solutions, Inc., of Irvine, California. Marteq Process Solutions, Inc. is comprised of engineering and manufacturing personnel who were previously associated with Verteq prior to the company's acquisition in 2004. The company was specifically created to focus on providing the best service and products to the large array of installations in the field. Marteq Process Solutions, Inc. will continue to use the same phone (714-445-2000) and fax (714-445-2204) numbers currently in place. Akrion will maintain the rights to produce and support the batch megasonics used in our wet station product lines for new tool sales and for product enhancements.

According to Akrion president and CEO, James Molinaro, "the sale of the former Verteq batch product lines will allow Akrion to further focus its resources on continual improvement of its wet cleaning systems to meet the growing needs of the semiconductor, as well as fast growing PV/solar and high resolution flat panel display industries."
