Akrion Completes Sale of Verteq Component Line

ALLENTOWN, Pa., June 10 /PRNewswire/ -- Akrion, Inc. ("Akrion"), a supplier of advanced surface preparation equipment, announced today that it has sold the Spin Rinser Dryer and Batch Megasonic product lines of the former Verteq, Inc. of Santa Ana, California.

The aforementioned wet station component product lines have been sold to Marteq Process Solutions, Inc., of Irvine, California. Marteq Process Solutions, Inc. is comprised of engineering and manufacturing personnel who were previously associated with Verteq prior to the company's acquisition in 2004. The company was specifically created to focus on providing the best service and products to the large array of installations in the field. Akrion will maintain the rights to produce and support the batch megasonics used in our wet station product lines for new tool sales and for product enhancements.
